"Jodie Marie" Electrolysis - "Be Hairfree, Be Carefree"

F. A. Q.

Q:Is electrolysis permanent?
A: Yes, electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal recognized by the FDA.  Other methods can only claim a reduction in hair.

Q:  How does electrolysis work?
A: A sterile probe is inserted into the hair follicle opening without piercing the skin.  A safe low level of current is applied creating heat to coagulate the hair papilla (nutrient supply source) thereby eliminating the source for future hair growth in that follicle.  After removal of the sterile probe the hair is then released from the follicle.  Certain hair may regenerate and the process will need to repeated, this should be expected with any and all forms of hair removal, only less with proper electrolysis.

Q:  Why does it take more than once to permanently destroy a hair?
A:  Hair grows and moves through the follicle in three stages: Anagen, Catagen and Telogen.  Anagen hair is in a live stage, this stage is the one required to effectively eliminate the hair.  Catagen hair is a transitional stage between alive and dead..  Telogen hair has lost connection with the papilla (nutrient supply source) therefore leaving the papilla to reproduce an Anagen hair at a later date. The ideal hair for effective hair elimination is a young early stage Anagen hair.

Q: Is electrolysis uncomfortable?
A: All forms of hair removal has some forms discomfort attached to it.  Comfort or discomfort levels depend on a number of possibilities. Older electrolysis equipment and techniques are a cause of more discomfort.  Our Apilus Platinum Pure's new and exclusive technology allows for the most comfortable epilation of hair possible.  This exclusive technology has a proven track record of leading to permanent hair removal with the least amount of discomfort.  One final note, Apilus Platinum Pure's electrolysis technology also delivers a noticeably lower level of discomfort than laser.

Q:  How long will it take to be free of hair?
A: This is one of the biggest questions.  As you can imagine, there are many variations in amounts of hair from individual to individual as well as what part of the body are we talking about. Factor in how committed a client is to the recommended scheduling and you can see that an estimate can only be given after a consultation session takes place.

Q:  How much does it cost?
A:  Pretty much the same answer as "how long will it take".  What can be given is that rates are based on anywhere from a quarter hour to multiple hours.  A visit with the electrologist is best to arrive at an estimate of costs based upon your hair removal wishes.

Apilus® Technology
The Gentle Way To Permanent Hair Removal

For over 130 years, electrolysis has been and remains the only recognized 100% permanent hair removal method. This technique permanently destroys germinative cells responsible for hair growth, thanks to the insertion of a fine probe in the hair follicle and the application of a current adjusted to the type of hair and the treated area. The creators of Apilus were convinced that by integrating modern technology, electrolysis could become a much more effective and comfortable technique. They designed a computer-assisted system that concentrates and controls the extent of the destruction in the hair follicle, targeting only the germinative cells and thus preventing new hair growth. This signaled the onset of a new era in the field of electrolysis.

Apilus offers advanced technology with proven effectiveness in the field of hair removal and have demonstrated time and again that Apilus delivers more effective and more comfortable treatments as well as much more rapid permanent results than any other hair removal technique.
